- Transfer and expansion of Pinghu factory alongside increased production of diabetes testing instruments and in vitro diagnostic reagents -
ARKRAY, Inc. (hereafter, 'ARKRAY') conducts production of diabetes testing instruments and in vitro diagnostic reagents at ARKRAY Factory Pinghu, Inc. mainly for the Chinese domestic market. In the rapidly growing Chinese market for medical products, increased demand is also expected for products in the clinical testing field. To this end, we had proceeded with gradual preparations aiming toward strengthened production capacity and efficiency improvements for stable supply, having secured a new factory building (4-story) with a site area 4 times larger than the current factory, also located in the Pinghu Economic-Technological Development Zone and implementing transfer and expansion activities. The first phase of construction was completed in April 2017 and a repair center was opened prior to the production floor.
Now the second phase of construction to transfer and expand the production floor has been completed and a completion ceremony was held today 29 January. Moving forward, we shall endeavor to increase production of testing instruments and in vitro diagnostic reagents while also expanding the line-up of products for production in order to promptly ship products for the Chinese market, which is home to the biggest diabetes population at 114 million patients. *1 Additionally, with the synergy generated through the sales subsidiary ARKRAY Marketing Shanghai, Inc. and the maintenance activities of the repair center, we shall also enhance the ARKRAY brand in the Chinese market and further expand business.
ARKRAY shall continue to undertake initiatives for global business expansion.
